Claire is a qualified physiotherapist and Pilates instructor. Claire achieved her physiotherapy degree from Teesside University in the UK. She qualified in 2009 and worked for six years in the NHS completing her core rotations and working up to a senior physiotherapist position.
It was during this time that Claire developed an interest in Pilates finding it helped build her core strength to manage her lower back pain. Having witnessed first hand the benefits of Pilates on strength and flexibility, Claire trained with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute (APPI) and qualified as a mat Pilates instructor. Having moved back to Ireland in 2015, Claire now works in a private practice teaching several mat classes a week with varying levels of ability.
Claire completed a masters in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy in UCD in 2018. After this she went on to complete her qualifications in reformer Pilates with Balanced Body at Pilates Performance, Ireland. With Claire’s background she understands how the body moves and has the ability to modify exercises to avoid pain and help clients improve their flexibility along with core and overall body strength.
